The Reverend Beau Davis
Rector
Father Beau is a native of Southeast Louisiana. He spent most of his formative years in Metro Atlanta. He is a graduate of Duluth High School in Gwinnett County. In 2006, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Piedmont College in the North Georgia mountains with a major in Philosophy and Religion. Later, he attended seminary at Emory University's Candler School of Theology, where he earned a Master of Theological Studies Degree in 2008. He rounded out his education with a Master of Arts degree from the University of Georgia in 2011, majoring in Church History and minoring in both Philosophy and Ethics.
Prior to the priesthood, Father Beau taught Religious Studies at Piedmont College, the University of North Georgia, and Georgia Gwinnett College. He joined Christ's Church in 2011, being baptized at Saint Stephen's Cathedral in Athens, GA. Recognizing his call to ministry, he was made a deacon in 2014 and ordained to the priesthood in 2015. Prior to moving back to Atlanta, he served at churches in the Nashville and Augusta areas.
Father Beau has been our priest since Easter 2016, and was installed as rector of our parish on Low Sunday 2017. He lives in East Cobb County with his wife, Becky, a nurse practitioner and native Nashvillian, and their son, Mac.
